MIRAMAR, Fla., Jan. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MTN Satellite Communications (MTN), the global provider of communications, connectivity and content services to remote locations around the world, today announced that it has appointed Margaret (Peg) E. Grayson as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As CFO, Ms. Grayson will play an integral role directing MTN's financial operations, but will also act as a trusted advisor to Errol Olivier, MTN's President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), on homeland security-related issues – critical to ensuring customers' communication requirements, today and in the future. Ms. Grayson is also a member of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council (NIAC), appointed by President George W. Bush in 2002 and is currently serving at the request of President Obama.
Ms. Grayson is an expert in cyber security and information sharing, and has participated in several comprehensive studies designed to provide the President, through the Secretary of Homeland Security, with guidance and recommendations on the security of the nation's critical infrastructure sectors and their information systems. Previously she was CFO and then President, CEO and Director of V-One Corporation. In this role she worked closely with federal agencies in the requirements and design of security products and developed significant expertise in cyber security, data integrity and information sharing in wired, wireless and satellite networks, and design of secure data transport architectures.
"We look forward to harnessing Peg's knowledge from her experience counseling the President of the United States on critical infrastructure issues as well as her time serving as an executive responsible for delivering solutions to both commercial and government organizations," said Mr. Olivier. "Peg is a strategic addition to the team and, on top of her CFO qualifications, she will provide input into how we offer, package and go to market with future communications offerings. Peg will help provide direction into our overall growth strategy and we fully anticipate that our customers will reap the benefits."
