Industry Veteran Joins Division to Increase Company Footprint in the Public Sector
LEESBURG, Va., May 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MTN Government Services (MTNGS), a subsidiary of MTN Satellite Communications (MTN), the global provider of communications, connectivity and content services to remote locations around the world, today announced the addition of Robert Turner as Vice President of Business Development and Government Contract Compliance, reporting directly to Jim Ramsey, President of MTNGS. In this position, Mr. Turner will oversee all business development for MTNGS specifically focusing on revenue growth, contract vehicles, market share, adding new service offerings and aligning more closely with industry partners.

Mr. Turner has more than two decades of experience in leading business development teams in the U.S. and internationally to deliver integrated terrestrial and satellite telecommunications solutions to support mission critical applications. Prior to joining MTN Government Services, he served as Senior Vice President, Business Development & Strategic Marketing at Spacenet Integrated Government Solutions (SIGS) and held management positions at Comtech EF Data, SES New Skies, Equant and Global One. Mr. Turner was also Director of Sales, Civilian Agencies and Counter-Intelligence Programs at Sprint Government Systems Division where he led teams that secured federal and state-level government business valued at over $1 billion. Throughout his career, Mr. Turner has served in advisory roles with groups including the National Coordinating Center for Telecommunication (NCC), National Security and Emergency Preparedness NS/EP, the 2009 President's National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) Satellite Task Force (STF), and the Satellite Industry Association (SIA) Mission Assurance Working Group (MAWG).
