EDISON, N.J., Nov. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- MTF Biologics is expanding its offerings for plastic surgeons with the introduction of a practical solution for large-volume fat grafting designed for better graft survival: LipoGrafter®. This easy-to-use technology offers surgeons a safe and efficient way to harvest a patient's fat and deposit it in areas where the patient may be seeking to add volume.
"MTF Biologics is dedicated to offering surgeons innovative technologies and solutions that help them better serve their patients," said Tom Shaffer, Executive Vice-President, Global Sales & Marketing at MTF Biologics. "In many cases, this involves innovations from our internal R&D and Processing teams. In others, it involves partnering with talented individuals and organizations outside of MTF Biologics to develop and commercialize novel and innovative solutions. As we continue to expand the many ways we work with and serve those in plastic and reconstructive surgery, we are proud to be able to deliver LipoGrafter, a revolutionary fat grafting system, to patients and plastic surgeons around the world."
A time-saving fat grafting solution, LipoGrafter facilitates both harvesting and depositing of autologous fat grafts with fewer connections for ease of assembly and use. As a closed system, the LipoGrafter technology reduces the risk of graft contamination. The device was designed with improved graft survival in mind and is based on well-accepted principles of fat grafting. Each sterile, single-use LipoGrafter disposable kit contains a KVAC® syringe for a constant spring-activated vacuum pull force during harvesting, four collection bags, a multi-port AT-Valve® designed to interface with the various components, and a tubing set with connectors.
LipoGrafter is part of a portfolio of innovations that MTF Biologics has introduced to maximize the use of fat in plastic and reconstructive surgery. The organization also offers Renuva®, an allograft adipose matrix that is engineered to conveniently treat small volume soft tissue defects, liposuction defects, and cellulite dimples.
