MSLGROUP Is Top U.S. PR Agency Cited For LGBT Equality
Receives a Perfect Score from Human Rights Campaign for Second Year in a Row
NEW YORK, Nov. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- For the second year in a row, MSLGROUP's operations in the U.S. scored a perfect 100 points in the Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. As a result, the agency earned the official distinction of being one of the "Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality" for 2015. For the second year in a row, no other large PR agency was ranked by name, although holding companies and agency groups were ranked. Over the past 13 years, the Corporate Equality Index has become the gold standard for corporate policies and practices related to LGBT employees and their families.
MSLGROUP achieved a perfect score in the organization's evaluation of its LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBT community. The Publicis Groupe's Egalite employee network for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender professional and their allies, MSLGROUP's internal organization for employees, is among the strongest in the industry.
Several other Publicis agencies appeared alongside MSLGROUP on the list of 366 companies in the U.S. with perfect scores, including DigitasLBI, Leo Burnett, Publicis Healthcare Communications, Publicis, Inc., Razorfish, Starcom MediaVest Group and ZenithOptimedia.
"MSLGROUP is proud of this recognition as part of our emphasis on 'diversity at work,' a value that we celebrate across our global network. We are fully committed to being an employer of choice for current and future LGBT employees. We have sought to build a culture that draws tremendous strength from colleagues who are individually unique and collectively diverse," said Maree Prendergast, Chief Talent Officer, North America, for MSLGROUP.
The 2015 CEI rated 971 businesses in the report.
