MSLGROUP Announces Meghan Gross as Managing Director of Its Restructured Boston Office
BOSTON, May 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MSLGROUP, the Publicis Groupe's flagship communications and events network, today announced it has appointed Meghan Gross managing director of its Boston office, effective immediately. In her new role, she will report to Renee Wilson, President of the Northeast Region.
Gross, who joined MSL Boston earlier this year, has twenty years of experience in marketing communications. Along with marketing communications her expertise includes executive positioning, thought leadership campaigns, issues management and litigation communications. With deep ties to the Boston community, she previously led communications for two leading Boston-based national law firms.
Gross's appointment reflects a newly defined strategy for MSL Boston, which calls for an increased focus on regional New England clients while continuing to service national and global marketers. She will be charged with growing existing client relationships while driving business development and innovation for the Boston office.
MSL Boston has a strong reputation in key sectors of medical devices, biotechnology, professional services and higher education. The office also houses the agency's national cause marketing specialty. Its robust client roster includes both local and national clients like Kellogg's, Biogen, Sodexo, and Hawaii Pacific University.
"With MSLGROUP's new brand, vision and mission, we felt it was time to reset our office with strong ties to the New England marketplace," said Wilson. "And Meghan has an incredible reputation, proven track record and really strong relationships across many industries and organizations in the New England market. In her short time with MSLGROUP, Meghan has demonstrated a keen understanding of what clients are looking for today. Meghan will also play a key role as MSLGROUP gears up for more growth and activity within this region."
Boston educated, Gross has spent the better part of the last two decades in the region. She is a prominent member of the Boston business community and currently serves as part of the Boston Chamber of Commerce's Women's Network Advisory Board and has been a member of the board of the Public Relations Society of America's Boston Chapter since 2005. Gross has also served as an adjunct professor in Boston College's Department of Communications for the last six years. She received her B.A. from Boston College and her M.A. from The George Washington University.
"Working in professional services marketing for the last ten years taught me a lot about building and sustaining long and productive client relationships which is something I plan to continue at MSL Boston," said Gross. "In addition, working in the industries the law firms served has provided me with a broad and holistic view of doing business in and around Boston. I look forward to helping existing and new clients remain vibrant contributors and thought leaders in our region."
