MRIS Launches Major Customer Initiative With 2010 Summer Road Show
TEAM TAKES TO THE ROAD TO INTERACT WITH MEMBER ASSOCIATIONS IN MARYLAND, VIRGINIA AND DC TO ENABLE POSITIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
ROCKVILLE, Md., Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Facebook and Twitter are all the rage these days, but one Rockville, MD-based service organization is turning back the clock on its customer relationship management approach. "We're reaching out to connect with our vital customers and shareholders the old-fashioned way," says John L. Heithaus, Chief Marketing Officer of Metropolitan Regional Information Systems, Inc. (MRIS), "by meeting with them face-to-face...just like the way the business of real estate is conducted."
MRIS, the nation's largest Multiple Listing Service, is owned by 25 DC-area Boards of Realtors™ that conduct most of the residential real estate transactions in the area. In fact, MRIS customers, which comprise nearly 45,000 real estate professionals, generate approximately $100 million a day in real estate sales, based on the company's most recent market statistics.
David Charron, MRIS President and CEO, divulges that the concept for the 2010 Summer Road Show was derived from a new customer initiative, MRIS360 Degree, which brings together every one of the company's service teams into a cohesive virtual unit. "By providing one true point-of-contact for anticipating and serving customer requirements," Charron explains, "MRIS speeds issue resolution, provides broader-based solutions and can listen closely to anticipate customer needs."
With this in mind, the 2010 Summer Road Show was created to personalize visits to each of the shareholder associations in August and bring them updates on the MRIS services, tools and resources available, as well as gift baskets, fun promotional items and balloons – all delivered from a wrapped company vehicle staffed by MRIS marketing, customer support and client alliances team members. The Road Show will be videotaped, ala MTV Road Rules, with a compilation video to be created at the end of the trip.
"We're really looking forward to the visit planned by the MRIS team," says Sue Emswiler, the Executive Officer of Massanutten Association of Realtors. "This Road Show is a very cool idea, and we think our members will certainly gain from the connection with MRIS to help them navigate today's tricky real estate market conditions. We applaud MRIS customer service programs like this because they're far more effective than those that rely only on the Internet to make vital connections."
