MRI Promotes John S. Stanley, PhD, to Corporate Vice President, Business Development
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Midwest Research Institute (MRI), one of the nation's leading independent engineering and research organizations, with more than 65 years of experience in scientific/engineering technical services, announces the promotion of John S. Stanley, Ph.D., to Corporate Vice President of Business Development, effective immediately. Stanley, who joined MRI in 1981, was Group Vice President of Business Development.
As Corporate Vice President of Business Development, Stanley's duties will expand to include responsibility for Strategic and Emerging Program Development throughout the Institute's market sectors and locations. MRI's research and technology are dedicated to protecting and enhancing our nation's safety, security, health and quality of life.

Dr. Stanley is an author and coauthor of many publications and papers presented at national and international symposia having earned international recognition for his work in the analysis of multimedia samples for trace and ultratrace levels of contaminants. During his nearly 30-year tenure at MRI he has directed human exposure monitoring studies on a series of governmental programs regarding toxicity, disease, and pollutants, and previously served as Director of the Institute's Chemical Sciences Division.
He holds a B.S. (Chemistry) Missouri Western State College and earned both his M.S. and Ph.D., in Analytical Chemistry from University of Colorado.
