Mr. Gadget uses former Atlanta-area church for U-Haul rentals

MCDONOUGH, Ga., Dec. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- A light blue 1970s Cadillac convertible is not an everyday acquisition. But then Gadson Woodall, owner of Mr. Gadget Smart Phone and Computer Repair and Sales, comes into all kinds of interesting items at his pawn store.

Mr. Gadget Smart Phone and Computer Repair and Sales is open Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. This is one of three Georgia locations owned and operated by Woodall, whose father and son work alongside him.

The repair store had an unusual beginning: the property was once a church. Woodall rented the building when the church closed and became neighbors with a service station and U-Haul dealer on the property. When the gas station closed, Woodall inquired about becoming a U-Haul dealer.

Woodall's store celebrated its one-year anniversary in September. It is one of several U-Haul dealers in the area, but its location is the most convenient to the Interstate 75.

Woodall is an avid supporter of his community and law enforcement. Woodall lost an extended family member who was a police officer in the 1970s. The officer's wife went on to help form Georgia C.O.P.S., an organization that provides resources to assist surviving families of officers killed in the line of duty.
