MPL3D Solar System (Touch)
Made with DarkGDK, this is the 5th version of the MPL3D series, and yet more improvements on the original release. Exciting and immersive, this is astronomy for the whole family.
MPL3D Solar System now has enhanced textures for celestial bodies and improved graphic effects, including:
- Seven combinations of HDR/Bloom
- Heat haze for stars and spaceship engines
- Revised effects for nebulae, star clusters and galaxies
Navigate your Spaceship
Touch control adds a feeling of intuitive, natural handling, bringing a new experience to the end user. Spaceship mode enhances the entertainment side of the simulation, and even a fabulous 3d asteroids mini-game has been included. Spaceship control mode has all the usual options for this type of simulation, which include joystick and touch control, to allow you to use your preferred method for control of the craft.
The spacecraft is user customizable, allowing the users to load their own meshes, and has numerous configurable options for textures and effects, including:
- Seven cameras
- Dozens of effects
- Eight light sources
The cockpit includes all kind of gauges for the three crew members, including gyroscope, G-force indicator, mission time, and even a 3d radar of the solar system.
Features, features, features!
The simulation takes care of some unique features in this kind of software, giving a blow of fresh air for the hobbyist. These are the most remarkable:
- Dynamic representation of stars and variable stars. Surface star oscillation, simulated sunspots and coronal mass ejections, making the stars hypnotic and ever-changing
- All extrasolar planets are different, based on the scientific data available for them, with appearance changes and atmospheric effects
- Binary star systems, including systems with mass-transfer stars, the so called 'contact binaries'
- Most famous nebulae, star clusters and galaxies. Even Saggitarius A*, the black hole at the centre of our galaxy, has been carefully represented
- Real star colours based on spectral class
- Logarithmic brightness system with visual compensation
- Tools like the object selector, the system gallery and reduced orbit sizes
- Music inspired in space and stars with 3d sound
- Customizable spaceship mode with Newtonian flight
- Touch-enabled control for Ultrabook devices
"MPL3D Solar Sytem is released, and joins the ranks of outstanding commercial products." - The Game Creators
"As an user of MPL3D Solar System, you can expect an immersive experience." - Steve Vink
MPL3D Solar System (Touch) is available now on Intel AppUp.
