DALLAS, May 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Mozido (www.Mozido.com), a provider of white-labeled, multi-channel financial services, added new depth and expertise to an already strong management team and board of directors. Acquiring world class talents with strong track record in the global cloud-based payment, and digital targeted marketing space, is an integral part of Mozido's on-going strategy to excel in an intensely competitive market.
- Henry C. (Ric) Duques, former Chairman and CEO of First Data Corporation, will join the Mozido Board of Directors, effective immediately.
- Philip H. Geier Jr., former CEO and Chairman of Interpublic and founder of the Geier Group consulting and advisory firm, has joined the Mozido Board of Directors since February, 2012.
- Robert W. Selander, former CEO of MasterCard Incorporated and MasterCard International will join the Mozido's Board of Directors, effective immediately.
"We welcome Ric, Phil and Bob to the Mozido team. They each represent skill sets and experiences that will help us continue building Mozido into a major competitor in the global mobile payments and digital targeted marketing and CRM space," said Rick Braddock, Executive Chairman, Mozido LLC. "I am convinced that Mozido's compelling business model, and exciting growth prospects globally, are attracting executives like Ric, Phil and Bob to join us. They will, in turn, help us build a great business in the highly attractive and intensely competitive mobile payment space."
Henry C. Duques was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of First Data Corporation from 1992 to 2002, when he grew the company's market capitalization nearly tenfold to $30 billion. He returned to First Data Corporation from 2005 to 2007, when he oversaw the $29 billion sale of First Data to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co in 2007. He currently serves as Lead Director of Unisys, and is Trustee Emeritus of The George Washington University. Duques' previous board of director positions included Chairman of the Board of NYCE Corporation and Legent Group.
Philip H. Geier, Jr. was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Interpublic Group of Companies from 1980 to 2000, and is a legend in the advertising and targeted marketing space. Over the 20 years under Geier's leadership, Interpublic grew from revenue of $500 million to a global enterprise with revenue of $5.6 billion. During his tenure as CEO, Interpublic's stock experienced a compounded growth rate of 22 percent. Phil's strong relationship with many global corporations will be important to Mozdio's future Targeted Marketing and CRM initiatives.
Robert W. Selander spent two decades with Citicorp/Citibank, N.A., before joining MasterCard in 1994. He was appointed CEO in 1997. Under Selander's leadership, MasterCard evolved from a 40-year-old membership association to a NYSE-listed public company in May 2006. In 2009, Barron's cited Selander's management as a critical reason behind its decision to rank MasterCard first in the Barron's 500 – a ranking which assessed operating performance among the 500 largest public companies in the U.S. and Canada.
"Taken together with the global strategic partnership that we recently announced with Tata Consultancy Services -- the leading IT services, consulting, business solutions, and systems integration organization -- the addition of these three exemplary leaders will greatly strengthen Mozido's capability to serve the 6 billion mobile phone users worldwide, including the 2 billion unbanked consumers, and bring them into world's financial ecosystem," said Michael Liberty, founder and Vice-chairman of Mozido. "Since I asked Rick Braddock to join me as the Executive Chairman at Mozido, he has continued to add tremendous depth to our team, as I had hoped."
