ATLANTA, Nov. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Moxie, a digitally driven agency with full-service capabilities, formally announced the launching of its new education initiative, N>GEN. Through this groundbreaking program, discipline leads at Moxie will be working in partnership with universities to help them develop and deliver diversified curricula that move in step with our ever-evolving digital world. In addition to on-site workshops, N>GEN's offerings include professor training days, career fairs, collaborative research projects and more.
While still in its infancy, N>GEN is already enjoying resounding success with its first partner, the University of Georgia (UGA) Department of Advertising and Public Relations (Grady AdPR). During an inaugural workshop on September 26 at UGA's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, Moxie led a hands-on content strategy boot camp designed especially for AdPR seniors and graduate students. Participants worked in teams to explore, develop and present their recommendations for a speculative project. Moxie representatives then critiqued the presentations and provided key feedback, insights and suggestions.
"We were extremely excited to offer our students this unique opportunity to learn from Moxie's digital experts," shared Karen King, professor of advertising at the Grady College. "The chance to create and present a strategic solution to a real-world challenge — and then to receive on-the-spot feedback from agency leaders — was an invaluable experience for them."
This was just the first in a series of workshops that N>GEN and Grady AdPR will be conducting together.
"We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Moxie," commented Tom Reichert, head of Grady AdPR. "Who better to help educate our students than one of the leading digital agencies in the Southeast?"
Suzy Deering, CEO of Moxie, is equally passionate about the program. "N>GEN has the potential to transform the way educators are looking at developing their curricula," she stated. "And what we're doing with UGA is just the beginning. We're working to bring N>GEN to every level of education — from elementary students to university scholars," she added. "Our goal is to team up with two to three new partners by the middle of next year."
