LOS ANGELES, Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- While staying true to its roots as an Infrastructure as a Service provider, Infinitely Virtual today announced deeper expansion into the managed services space with the introduction of its new Patch Management option.

Effective immediately on all single-server plans, Infinitely Virtual now offers the option to automatically patch and update more than 40 Microsoft applications and operating systems and nearly as many non-Microsoft products. Among the Microsoft products covered under Patch Management are Active Directory, Bing, Exchange, Office, SQL Server, Skype, Virtual Server, Windows and more. Support for non-Microsoft products under Patch Management extends to Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader, Box BoxSync, Firefox, Google Chrome, Quicktime, Thunderbird, Yahoo Messenger and some 30 others. Patch Management is priced at $4.99 per server.
Infinitely Virtual has long offered semi-managed servers, and has managed the entire infrastructure up through the operating system. Until now, the company has left patch management to the customer. From this point forward, Infinitely Virtual's Patch Management option will provide patches to both the operating system and supported applications.
"While our customers can continue to login and manage things like patches themselves, our managed product is actually less expensive and even easier to deploy," said Adam Stern, CEO, Infinitely Virtual. In the months ahead, Infinitely Virtual will provide new managed services options from its portfolio of cloud services, and will expand Patch Management to multi-server plans early in Q1 2016. In addition, the company plans to roll out managed encryption and managed anti-virus options in the near future.
