Move Over Winter: Stove Top Stuffing Empowers People to Spread the Warmth
Stove Top Spread the Warmth Ambassadors Kick-Off National Contest to Inspire People to Help Others
GLENVIEW, Ill., Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Stove Top Spread the Warmth Ambassadors are back in 2010 and are hotter than ever. To help warm up individuals and families this cold and weary winter, the Ambassadors are taking their good deeds to select cities nationwide. From there they'll encourage people to spread goodwill and support to those who need a helping hand.
Throughout February, Stove Top Ambassadors will spread a little warmth to residents in Milwaukee, Pittsburgh and Minneapolis by shoveling snow, paying heating bills and hosting a fundraiser for charity. Ambassadors will also take to the streets in each city, surprising residents with acts of kindness such as paying bus fares, serving up hot cocoa to those who work outside in the cold and distributing coupons for free Stove Top Stuffing.
"Our Stove Top Ambassadors made an impact by lending a helping hand to more than 7,000 people nationwide this past holiday season," said Stove Top Brand Manager Maytal Ryan Shamir. "So we wanted to bring them back one more time during this oh-so-cold winter season to help spread a little more warmth and inspire people to do the same by helping those in need in their own communities."
How Would You Spread the Warmth With $10,000?
From coast-to-coast, people have joined the cause by helping neighbors, friends and strangers in need – proving that small acts of kindness can make a big impact. Now, Stove Top is giving people a chance to become honorary Spread the Warmth Ambassadors. From now until February 28, 2010, U.S. residents 18 and over can visit SpreadtheWarmth.com and tell Stove Top in 200 words or less about the good deeds they would like to do in their community. The top 10 entries will be posted on SpreadtheWarmth.com. Then, from March 21-April 4, 2010, America can vote for their favorite finalist. The three essays with the most votes will each receive a $10,000 donation for the non-profit charity of their choice.
