MouthWatch, LLC Announces Release of New Android Software That Turns Tablets and Phones Into Dental Visual Case Presentation Tools
NEW YORK, April 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Intraoral cameras and visual case presentation to patients are some of the most powerful tools in a dentist's or dental hygienist's patient education toolbox.
With their ExamTab intraoral camera and tablet combination, MouthWatch aims to enhance the benefits of intraoral cameras by connecting the camera to a portable, easy to handle tablet PC.
Now, with the latest release of ExamTab designed for Android, they hope the benefits of visual case presentation and patient education in every operatory will become even easier for even more dentists.
"Part of our vision at MouthWatch is to provide flexible, adaptable solutions to dental professionals," says Brant Herman, CEO of MouthWatch. "So, instead of saying that you can only get the benefits of ExamTab software on our PC-based tablets, we decided to release a version that can be run on any modern Android tablet—or even current Android phones. Now, if you have a tablet already available, you can simply download the app and be up and running."
With the MouthWatch ExamTab, live video and image capture—as well as patient and exam management—can be run from a tablet—making it both portable from operatory to operatory, and easier for dental patients to see up close, in their own hands.
With the new Android version of ExamTab software (available now on the Google Play Store), dental practices will also gain the ability to draw on intraoral images - for instance to circle areas of concern for patients, or to highlight areas to review by colleagues. It can run on compatible Android tablets and phones (requires Android version 4.4 or later, and a USB 2 port for camera). More information is available at the MouthWatch.com website.
