Mourdock Campaign to Launch TV, Radio Response to Lugar Attack Ad
INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Indiana State Treasurer Richard Mourdock, U.S. Senate candidate in the Republican Primary, will begin airing a new statewide TV and radio spot today in response to the Lugar campaign's negative attack ad.
The new ads, dubbed "Disappointing," will point out the Lugar campaign's attempt to avoid talking about the issues important to Republican voters as well as his effort to distract voters from the fact that he has chosen not to maintain a residence in Indiana since 1977.
"Dick Lugar is desperately trying to hide his out-of-touch voting record on issues important to Hoosier Republicans: his votes to raise the debt ceiling, continue pork barrel 'earmark' spending, bailout private industry at taxpayers' expense, support liberal judicial appointments and provide amnesty to illegal immigrants," said Treasurer Mourdock.
