Mountain home and 405 acres adjoining Jefferson National Forest to sell at auction
BLUEFIELD, W.Va., Oct. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- A mountain retreat with 5,500-square-foot home built using logs transported from Montana will sell at auction Friday, Nov. 8, along with a second three-bedroom brick home. Woltz & Associates will market the property and manage the sale.
"The massive logs for this home were brought more than 2,000 miles, and the construction cost alone is more than $1 million. Yet, the combined minimum bid for the log home, the brick three-bedroom home, and a 20-acre tract of land is only $550,000, so somebody could get the buy of a lifetime," said Jim Woltz, president of the auction company.
Selling in the same auction will be 405 acres of land that, for miles, adjoins the Jefferson National Forest.
"Everything about this home is custom, from the multi-floor stone fireplace to the elaborate tile work, wood floors and high-end bath fixtures," said Woltz.
The same auction will include approximately 405 acres of hunting and recreational land in the "No Business" area adjoining the national forest. "This land – which we'll sell in 10 tracts – has an abundance of deer, bear, turkey and wild hogs, as well as endless miles of four-wheeler trails," said Woltz.
The auction will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at the Quality Inn, 3350 Big Laurel Highway/460 West, Bluefield, W.Va., 24701. Individuals interested in additional information may visit www.woltz.com or call 540-342-3560.
