Motorsport.com Launches United Kingdom-Specific Digital Platform
MIAMI, Sept. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- In a strategic move to customize its coverage of motorsports news content in English-speaking markets, Motorsport.com announced today that it has launched a specific digital platform for its readership in the United Kingdom.
The decision marks the first step for the Company's global site to be split into multiple English language-based platforms, which will geo-target and tailor its comprehensive motorsports coverage by region.
"While our commitment to global race coverage remains undimmed, it's clear that our audience's appetite in English-speaking languages differs significantly by region," said Charles Bradley, editor in chief, Motorsport.com.
"With more than 20 percent of our worldwide traffic year-over-year representing the UK audience, it makes good editorial and business sense to provide content that is tailored to the British market.
"The global content will remain freely available but this move allows us to present our subject matter in a more relevant fashion to satisfy our local audience's expectation, with the added benefit of extra freedom to develop our regional coverage to even greater heights."
Today's announcement supports Motorsport.com's strategic growth into 14 countries and 10 native languages in 2015.
