-- Industry Veteran to Support Future Growth of Organization --
LOS ANGELES, June 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Motor Press Guild (MPG), the largest automotive media association in North America, is proud to announce Larry Rusznak has been appointed Business Operations Manager effective June 1, 2011. A longtime business and marketing executive in the automotive industry, Rusznak has been a Motor Press Guild member for more than twenty years — most recently serving as Executive Producer of the highly popular MPG Track Day event. Rusznak will continue leading the Track Day festivities, while taking on broader responsibilities as Business Operations Manager on a day-to-day basis for MPG.
"With Motor Press Guild's rich history of extraordinary leaders, I could not be more thrilled to have such a well-known and respected industry talent heading up our business operations," said James Bell, President, Motor Press Guild. "Larry has done wonders for our MPG Track Day, and we look forward to seeing more success from him on a higher level as Business Operations Manager."
Rusznak first began managing experiential marketing campaigns for Nissan in 1988 and has remained focused on automotive ever since, lending his talents to the likes of General Motors, Sears/Craftsman, Honeywell CPG, Honda, Toyota and Suzuki. With an impressive track record in event marketing and fundraising, Motor Press Guild tapped Rusznak in 2009 to executive produce the organization's annual MPG Track Day event where automotive journalists test drive dozens of new models and participate in an array of related activities. In his first two years serving as Executive Producer of Track Day, Rusznak secured the event's first ever title sponsors — Shell in 2009 and BF Goodrich in 2010. MPG celebrates its 15th annual Track Day event on October 11-12, 2011.
