Motel 6 Wins At 2015 Radio Mercury Awards
Economy Lodging Leader Celebrates Its Second Award for Radio Campaigns
NEW YORK, June 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Motel 6, known for offering a clean, comfortable room and great service for the lowest price of any national chain, has been awarded The 2014 Radio Campaign, during the Radio Mercury Awards held in New York City on Wednesday, June 3rd.
During the award ceremony, the iconic brand was also nominated twice within the Agency/Production category for their "Filters" and "Selfie" commercials. The collaboration between Motel 6 and The Richards Group continues to produce a high standard of award-winning work, as their radio campaign continues to be one of the longest running to date.

The Radio Mercury Awards started in 1992 to encourage and acknowledge the development of the most effective and original radio commercials, acting as the radio advertising industry's premiere awards show. The Radio Mercury Awards are governed by the Radio Creative Fund, a non-profit corporation funded by the radio industry.
This is the second recognition received by Motel 6 Radio ads in 2015. Just recently, the Motel 6 radio ad "Autocorrect" was recognized by the Association for Music Producers (AMP) as the "Most Impactful Radio Commercial". The 2015 AMP Awards, sponsored by the Association of Music Producers, also took place in New York before an audience of ad agency creatives, music producers and composers, record label and music publishing executives and AMP's 2015 Hall of Fame inductees. AMP is dedicated to raising awareness of and appreciation for the value of music and sound to all broadcast content in all media.
