Morvillo Abramowitz Names Christopher J. Morvillo Principal
NEW YORK, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading litigation firm Morvillo, Abramowitz, Grand, Iason, Anello & Bohrer, P.C., is pleased to announce that Christopher J. Morvillo has been elected a Principal of the firm, effective July 1. He was previously counsel.

Christopher J. Morvillo specializes in the representation of individual and corporate clients in federal and state white-collar criminal matters, parallel enforcement and civil proceedings, and internal investigations. His recent representations have involved investigations, prosecutions and civil claims arising from allegations of insider trading, theft of trade secrets, securities fraud, accounting fraud, healthcare fraud, and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Electronic Espionage Act, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and the Arms Export Control Act.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Morvillo served for six years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, where he investigated and tried a wide variety of criminal cases in the areas of fraud, money laundering, obstruction of justice, counter-terrorism, and narcotics. Mr. Morvillo assisted in the criminal investigation arising out of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. In 2005, Mr. Morvillo received the Attorney General's Award for Exceptional Service – the Justice Department's highest award – for his work as one of the lead prosecutors on a major multi-defendant international terrorism investigation and prosecution that led to the convictions of all defendants on all charges following a 10-month trial.
Mr. Morvillo, age 45, is also an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University School of Law, where he teaches Legal Writing. He is also a former clerk for the Honorable Kevin Thomas Duffy, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York. He received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1992, where he was the Articles and Book Reviews Editor for the Fordham International Law Journal, and his B.A. from Villanova University in 1987.
