Morse, Walker, and Rees-Jones Headline Hart Energy Conference
HOUSTON, Sept. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ed Morse, managing director and global head, Commodities Research, Citigroup Global Markets Inc.; John B. Walker, president and CEO, EnerVest Ltd.; and Trevor Rees-Jones, founder and chairman, Chief Oil and Gas, will address energy professionals at Hart Energy's 4th annual Developing Unconventionals (DUG™) East conference and exhibition, Nov. 13-15, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.
Opening keynote Morse will present "The North American Supply Revolutions and the New Geopolitics of Energy." The veteran oil and gas analyst, whose credits include serving as U.S. representative to the IEA and co-founding PFC Energy, describes how unconventional-resource development in North America is changing U.S. and global hydrocarbon-omics. He will also provide his forecast for new hydrocarbon supply, including production from the Utica and Marcellus plays in Appalachia.
"Early Findings and Best Practices in the Utica" will be Walker's topic. EnerVest, a leader in developing the Utica, is one of the 25 largest oil and gas companies in the U.S., with more than 20,000 wells across 12 states and 4.1 million acres under lease.
Rees-Jones will present "The Appalachian's Bounty from the View of a Barnett Leader." After building and selling a $2.2-billion Barnett position to Devon Energy, Rees-Jones set his sights on Appalachia's Marcellus where he has already built and sold the $1-billion Chief Gathering LLC and made high-profile deals with Exco Resources and Chevron. He will describe ongoing results in northeastern Pennsylvania.
DUG East focuses on the positive growth operators, service companies, and local economies are experiencing across the Utica and Marcellus region. The program includes first-hand reports from senior-level oil and gas executives who are bringing these exciting plays to fruition.
