Morrison & Foerster Enhances Asia Pacific Compliance, Investigation and Disputes Capabilities by Expanding Singapore Office

SINGAPORE, May 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Morrison & Foerster litigation partner Daniel P. Levison, a member of the firm's FCPA + Anti-Corruption Task Force, has relocated to the firm's Singapore office after more than 12 years in the Tokyo office. Mr. Levison has extensive experience representing clients in cross-border disputes, counseling clients on a wide range of compliance matters and conducting internal investigations across the Asia-Pacific region. His practice has included work in many countries in Southeast Asia and beyond including Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore, as well as India, Australia and New Zealand.

Mr. Levison has experience in matters that include fraud and corruption, cartel and other competition matters, export control, privacy and data security, and regulatory and product safety investigations. He also works with clients with pre-acquisition and third-party anti-corruption due diligence, and developing and implementing anti-corruption policies, procedures and training programs. Mr. Levison also has experience handling complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters throughout the region.

Morrison & Foerster opened its Singapore office in January. Located in one of the most vibrant financial centers in the region, the office is the firm's fifth in Asia. With Mr. Levison's relocation, partners with disputes and U.S. compliance and regulatory expertise are on the ground full-time in Hong Kong/China, Japan and Singapore. Other key practices for the Singapore office include M&A, real estate, project finance, dispute resolution, TMT, private equity and tax.

Mr. Levison earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, his A.B. from Cornell University and his M.Sc. degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Levison served as a law clerk to the Honorable Eduardo C. Robreno, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Levison is admitted to practice in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and speaks Japanese. Mr. Levison previously spent time in the firm's New York office supporting clients' dispute resolution needs.
