NEW YORK, June 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Moroccanoil, the global leader in oil-infused beauty products, is proud to announce the latest modern-day heroine featured in their INSPIRED BY WOMEN™ short-film series: world-renowned fashion designer and philanthropist, Georgina Chapman, Co-founder of the fashion label, Marchesa and Global Ambassador for youth charity The Magic Bus Foundation.
Moroccanoil has always understood it takes just one moment of inspiration to ignite positive change. In fact, the Moroccanoil journey started with a pivotal moment of inspiration when Moroccanoil Co-founder Carmen Tal, saw an opportunity to revolutionize the beauty industry through oil-infused haircare. Realizing how a single spark of inspiration has the power to touch our hearts and move us to action, the Moroccanoil INSPIRED BY WOMEN™ project was born: a short-film series that enables women to discover beauty in a new light – through the power of inspiration. Featuring courageous women who share their unique personal journeys of bringing change through empowerment, INSPIRED BY WOMEN™ provides a global platform to celebrate, inspire and empower women around the world.
Now, for the first time since the launch of the original film series, Moroccanoil debuts a powerful, new INSPIRED BY WOMEN™ short-film, which tells the story of Georgina Chapman's personal experience growing up with a sense that "anything is possible," and how she hopes to empower women around the world with that same sense of inner-confidence she felt when she started her company. It is through her deep understanding of the importance of self-confidence in achieving her own dreams that she wishes for all women to experience that same sense of empowerment. As a fashion designer, Chapman looks to empower women through femininity, striving to create a special emotional connection with her designs that allows women to instantly gain a newfound sense of confidence, and in turn, experience personal transformation.
Chapman's poignant INSPIRED BY WOMEN™ short-film also illustrates how she passionately turned her love of fashion into action to support The Magic Bus Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps lift children in India out of poverty and into livelihood. "Georgina embodies what it means to inspire by example. I was so fortunate to meet her through our long-standing fashion week collaboration with Marchesa. Not only is she an incredibly talented designer that empowers women through her bold, feminine designs, but the passionate work she does to help children in underprivileged communities, is truly remarkable," said Moroccanoil Co-Founder, Carmen Tal.
As the Magic Bus Foundation Global Ambassador, Chapman travels often to the Indian community of Mankhurd, Mumbai where many of organization's key youth programs take place. "It made sense to me to give back to the communities that have helped me build my company. I wanted to ensure that the families in the regions we're working with are supported," said Chapman. Through a unique self-sustaining model that focuses on inspiring and empowering the larger community in India, the foundation's outreach focuses on mentoring children in three key areas: education, health and gender equality - reaching up to 400,000 marginalized youth in need weekly.
As a part of the INSPIRED BY WOMEN™ film series, Chapman is thrilled to highlight the important work of The Magic Bus Foundation to empower youth in India. "I feel incredibly honored to have been selected by Moroccanoil to be a part of INSPIRED BY WOMEN™. I love that as a beauty company they have created such a powerful platform to inspire women around the world and shine light on such important causes. It's so vital for women to unite in supporting and empowering one another – together, we can make an even more profound impact in the world around us," said Chapman.
