More Than 50 Restaurants Participate in the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau's Eighth Annual COOLinary Restaurant Program
Special August culinary promotion celebrates incredible cuisine and dining in "America's Most Delicious City"
NEW ORLEANS, July 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has announced the line-up of more than 50 world-class restaurants for its eighth annual COOLinary restaurant promotion, offering special two and three-course lunch menus for $20 or less and three-course dinner menus for $35 or less, August 1-31, 2012.
The event commemorates the renowned and authentic cuisine of New Orleans and its culinary community, which according to www.nomenu.com, currently boasts 1,311 restaurants. COOLinary, along with New Orleans CVB's Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown campaign, has become a staple calendar event for locals and visitors alike.
"Food is at the core of New Orleans' culture, and in the past seven years, thousands of visitors have commemorated our world-famous cuisine by dining at participating COOLinary restaurants," said Kim Priez, Vice President of Tourism for the New Orleans CVB. "Not only does the program aim to drive customers to restaurants during this typically slower tourism time, but it also gives locals and visitors from around the world the chance to experience cuisine at top city restaurants— all while celebrating the incredible work of our local chefs and all of their staff."
