More Than 30,000 Kids Participate in P.S. From Aeropostale's 'What Makes You Smile' T-Shirt Design Contest
Retailer Awards Three Grand Prize Winners with $5,000 for Their Schools
NEW YORK, May 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Aeropostale, Inc. (NYSE: ARO), the parent company to children's retailer P.S. from Aeropostale, today announced the winners of its 'P.S. What Makes You Smile' t-shirt design contest. More than 30,000 kids from over 430 schools across the country showcased their artistic talents for a chance to win $5,000 for their school and their own $500 P.S. from Aeropostale gift card. The contest, which ran from January 10, 2011 through February 18, 2011, encouraged third, fourth and fifth grader students to pick up a brush, crayon or even a pencil and design a t-shirt to show the world what makes them smile. A winner from each grade was selected.

All submissions were carefully reviewed by the design team from P.S. from Aeropostale and a grand prize winner from each grade was chosen. The three winners are as follows:
Jasiel Spooner from 3rd grade at Peeks Chapel Elementary School in Conyers, GA
Trey Hahn from 4th grade at Clemmons Elementary School in Clemmons, NC
Rachita Pendem from 5th grade at Woodbrook Elementary School in Edison, NJ
In addition to monetary prizes, the grand prize winners will have their t-shirts produced and featured in P.S. from Aeropostale stores throughout the country. To celebrate the campaign and all of the submissions, P.S. from Aeropostale will be showcasing in their windows the drawings submitted during the campaign.
