More Than 300 'Complete Executives' to Attend IMD's Orchestrating Winning Performance
LAUSANNE, Switzerland, May 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Presentations from Odebrecht, Ermenegildo Zegna, the International Olympic Committee and more
IMD, a top-ranked business school and worldwide expert in executive education, plans to welcome more than 300 executives for its largest leadership program Orchestrating Winning Performance (OWP) taking place June 21 - 26, 2015. A free information webinar with the program co-director, Professor Mike Wade, will be given May 22.
To provide real world insight and inspiration, OWP will welcome leaders from a wide range of industries. Among the keynote speakers and notable presenters include Marcelo Bahia Odebrecht, CEO of Odebrecht SA; Paolo Zegna, Chairman of the Board for Ermenegildo Zegna Group; Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee; Thomas Mayer, Chief Operating Officer for the racing team Lotus F1; and William Fischer, Critical Care Physician at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine.
OWP will offer an update on world competitiveness in a keynote with Professor Arturo Bris, Director of the IMD World Competitiveness Center.
"To succeed at developing global leaders, OWP will re-spark the love of learning and give executives a renewed sense of purpose," said Professor Wade. "At the same time, the program is going to deliver a ton of practical knowledge for many fields from HR and finance to IT and supply chain."
Some of the topics to be presented include how to change employee behavior, how to engage millennials, how to lead a digital strategy transformation and how to be more customer centric. In addition, the program will provide special activities for the 'complete executive' in order to sustain high performance on both in and out of the office.
"Being a top executive nowadays is more than a full-time job and to succeed at it, leaders must find a path to becoming a complete executive," explains Professor Wade. "The complete executive maintains a balance of mental, physical, emotional health. Because this balance isn't easy to achieve, and because business schools have a role to play in developing solid leaders, OWP will focus on the softer side of interpersonal development along with helping in leadership and in reaching concrete goals."
Some of the activities integrated in OWP for the complete executive include fitness consulting with Patricia Soave, nutrition awareness with Birgit Boislard, and an overview of the combination of health and performance from Steven MacGregor, author of Sustaining Executive Performance and founder of the Leadership Academy of Barcelona.
After recently joining forces with Cisco for the IMD and Cisco Global Center for Digital Business Transformation, OWP will also host the official inauguration of the new research center.
Designed to develop leadership capabilities, OWP is a unique program in its flexible design, allowing participants, both individuals and teams, to create their own learning journeys.
IMD's OWP program is offered twice per year, once in Lausanne and once in Singapore. The next program will take place November 16 -20, 2015 on Singapore's Sentosa Island.
