More Support For Lung Cancer Legislation as Lung Cancer Awareness Month Draws to a Close
DOZEN MORE ELECTED LEADERS AND ORGANIZATIONS ARE ADDED TO THE GROWING LIST OF SUPPORTERS OF THE LUNG CANCER MORTALITY REDUCTION ACT
WASHINGTON, Nov. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, as Lung Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, Lung Cancer Alliance (LCA) announced more additions to the growing national network of support for federal action. Backing continues to cover a broad spectrum of interests, ranging from congressional support on Capitol Hill to national and international medical and research organizations, to veterans and labor groups, and to public health advocates.
The most recent additions joining in support of the Lung Cancer Mortality Reduction Act, S. 752 and H.R. 1394 respectively, first-ever legislation calling for a coordinated and comprehensive federal plan to address all aspects of lung cancer include:

This brings to date 48 national and international groups who have publicly come out in support of the Lung Cancer Mortality Reduction Act (LCMRA). The number of Senators totals 23 and the number of Members of Congress totals 46.
