With PCIe flash cards and conventional hard drive-based storage arrays, Yes Energy faced an unwelcome compromise: while performance from PCIe flash was fast, capacity and high availability was lacking. Meanwhile, the disk array offered capacity and high availability, but unacceptably slow performance.
