LOS ANGELES, Nov. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Moose Toys, the toy company behind the collectible craze Shopkins™, is hosting a charity auction for Gemma Stone, the most rare Shopkins character in the collection, to kick-off on Cyber Monday. Gemma Stone is the one-of-a-kind, precious character revealed at North American International Toy Fair this past February, and famous among Shopkins collectors.

Fans will now have a chance to bid on her, November 30 through December 6, 2015, and celebrate the holidays with the gift you can't buy in stores. All proceeds from the eBay auction will benefit the Toy Industry Foundation, a nonprofit organization that distributes toys to children facing poverty, neglect, illnesses, abuse, and other forms of adversity.
Gemma Stone had a busy year, with a cross-country tour visiting Shopkins fans and top YouTube toy channels. Her tour kicked off with the Mommy and Gracie Show, at their first official Toy Fair meet-and-greet. She then visited CookieSwirlC and DisneyCarToys to star in one-of-a-kind videos on their channels. Most recently, Gemma Stone made an appearance at the nationwide Shopkins Swap-kins event in New York City.
"Gemma Stone is our most precious and most beloved Shopkins character," said Paul Solomon, Co-CEO of Moose Toys. "We're excited for her to find a permanent home with one of our passionate Shopkins fans, and are beyond thrilled for the opportunity to help children in need this holiday season through the Toy Industry Foundation."
Limited Edition Shopkins characters, normally retailing at $2.99, are already selling on eBay for upwards of $1,800. Bids for Gemma Stone are forecasted to be even higher given the rarity of the character.
"We are grateful that Moose Toys is donating its proceeds from the Gemma Stone auction to benefit our organization," said Elizabeth Max, program manager at the Toy Industry Foundation. "This donation will help us provide toys to children in need, which is especially critical during the holiday season."
The Toy Industry Foundation is dedicated to bringing smiles to the faces of children in the foster care system and those whose parents are deployed in the military. Last year alone, The Toy Bank provided nearly 5 million children in need with donated toys, valued at $18.9 million globally.
Fans interested in bidding on Gemma Stone should check Shopkins' Facebook and Twitter pages for the link to the eBay auction, which will take place from November 30 at 3 p.m. PT through December 6 at 3 p.m. PT.
