Montana Department of Transportation Deploys Intuicom's Enterprise Management Software Statewide
BOULDER, Colo., April 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Intuicom Incorporated, a premier supplier of wireless solutions to the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) market, announced today that the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), is deploying Intuicom's BroadbandPro™ Enterprise Management Software statewide in an effort to unify and centralize the management of their municipality-based traffic servers and TACTICS central traffic management software.
The deployment is orchestrated by Intuicom's Authorized Reseller, Western Systems, Inc., as part of the overall wireless communications initiative underway with MDT. The agency has been using Intuicom's family of wireless BroadBand Solutions (BBS) for years. Intuicom's transceivers form the wireless communications infrastructure for Transportation Departments in many of the larger municipalities in Montana, including Billings, Missoula, Great Falls, and Helena.
"Leveraging BroadBandPro Enterprise Management Software's capabilities with Siemen's TACTICS brings a new level of connectivity to the Montana Department of Transportation," says Kevin Hanson, Territory Manager for Western Systems, Inc. "MDT will now have the ability to configure and deploy their intersections quicker, they can check the quality and strength of any signal, remotely. That is a huge advantage that Intuicom delivers with their management software."
Software So Unique it is Patented
Drag-and-drop network configuration, real-time bi-directional network link data, and a performance dashboard that intuitively communicates network performance parameters including ping latency, signal-to-noise ratio, and Tx/Rx CCQ, are just of few of the advanced features inherent in BroadbandPro™ Enterprise Management Software. There is simply no better way to automatically discover, configure and optimize your Intuicom wireless broadband network than with BroadbandPro™ Enterprise Management Software—so unique and powerful that it is patented.
"The alarm functionality that BroadBandPro Enterprise Management Software brings is more than revolutionary," Hanson explains. "It has the ability to notify a technician, by text or email, that there is a failure in the field. A lot of times they will get the notice from the software before Dispatch even knows there's a problem. That capability is critical, because we just improved their response time."
