Montage Technology Unveiled Jintide(TM) CPU Ecosystem at the 4th World Internet Conference
- A Further Move toward Mass Commercialization of Jintide™
WUZHEN, China, Dec. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Montage Technology along with its Jintide™ ecosystem partners, Tsinghua University (TU), Lenovo and Byosoft, convened a technical launch event to unveil the core technologies, ecosystem and commercial roll-out plan of the Jintide™ Server CPU & Platform. The technical launch coincides with the first day of the Light of the Internet Expo and the 4th World Internet Conference (WIC), a significant occasion for the whole Internet industry, which marks the start of Jintide™ platform commercialization process.
Jintide™ is an innovative secure and controllable solution developed by Montage Technology for data centers, which combines Montage Technology's Hybrid Security DIMM (HSDIMM®) technology, TU's reconfigurable computing processor (RCP) module, and standard, high-performance Intel® Xeon® processors to meet the critical application requirements in China. During the event, Montage Technology and TU jointly introduced the RCP and HSDIMM® based dynamic CPU security checking technology of the Jintide™ platform. Lenovo showcased the first secure and controllable Jintide™ based commercial server with uncompromised performance and introduced the roll-out plan. Byosoft released the dedicated BIOS designed for the Jintide™ platform.
The technical launch event was held at Wuzhen Internet International Conference & Exhibition Center. Joining Montage, TU, Lenovo and Byosoft are important Jintide™ ecosystem partners including Intel, H3C, CEC Great Wall, Power Leader, Samsung and SK Hynix. Representatives from government and National Research Institutions also joined the event.
Montage, TU and Intel have been collaborating on the joint development of Jintide™ platform since April 2016. This technical launch is another significant achievement of the three-party collaboration after the successful power-on of the Jintide™ SDV (Software Development Vehicle) in April 2017. By working closely with BIOS vendors, system software vendors and DIMM vendors, Montage has developed the complete Jintide™ CPU based solution and expects to launch the first Jintide™ server product in 2018 through comprehensive collaboration with Lenovo and Byosoft. Montage is currently working with more leading server OEMs to lay a solid foundation for the mass commercialization of Jintide™ server products.
"We applaud Montage, Tsinghua University, and Jintide™ ecosystem partners for this successful technical launch. We are looking forward to the forthcoming mass commercial deployment of Jintide™. Intel will continue to work with Chinese partners through collaboration and joint innovation to promote local solution research and development so as to meet the needs of Chinese market." said Ian Yang, Intel Corporate Vice President and President of Intel China.
"As a leader of customer digital transformation with security and control, Lenovo is working closely with Jintide™ ecosystem partners to develop a security server based on the Jintide™ platform.
