MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB Creates More than 50,000 Winners Across Pennsylvania in First Month
MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Nov. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB™ lottery game created more than 50,400 winners across Pennsylvania in its first four drawings, including one winner of a $1 million Millionaires' Club Prize. Ticket sales started on Oct. 19.
The Top Prize for tonight's drawing has an annuity value of $18 million and a cash value of $10.9 million. If tonight's Top Prize is won, 12 Millionaire's Club Prizes will also be awarded.
The $1 million prize-winning ticket from the Friday, Nov. 7, drawing was sold at Turkey Hill, 140 W. Lincoln Street, Shamokin, Northumberland County, and was claimed the following week.
In its first four drawings, the new, $5 multi-state game produced tens of thousands of Pennsylvania winners of prizes ranging from $5 up to $1 million. Players are reminded to check every ticket, every time.
How to Play: Players pay $5 and select five numbers from a pool of 52, choosing their own numbers or using the quick pick option to have their numbers randomly generated. A Property Number from 1 to 28, which corresponds to a Property on the MONOPOLY game board, is automatically generated by the terminal. A player must match all five numbers drawn plus the Property Number to win the Top Prize. The odds of winning the Top Prize are approximately 1 in 73 million. There are also nine other ways to win in each drawing, with prizes ranging from $5 (for matching two of the first five numbers) up to $100,000 (for matching the first five numbers).
The Millionaires' Club Drawing: Each ticket includes a unique Millionaires' Club number. Each time the Top Prize is won, it immediately triggers a separate Millionaires' Club drawing for at least 10 prizes of $1 million. If a player's Millionaires' Club number is selected, that player wins one of the $1 million prizes being awarded that week. If the Top Prize is not won, it continues to grow in size until it reaches $25 million. For as long as no one wins the Top Prize, the number of $1 million prizes available increases until someone wins the Top Prize. When this occurs, winning Millionaires' Club numbers are published online at www.palottery.com.
TV Game Show Entry Webcode: Each MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB Lottery game ticket features a unique entry code that players can immediately register at www.palottery.com for a chance to appear on the nationally televised game show launching in early 2015. One player on each episode will get a shot at winning $1 million. Players must submit codes online prior to claiming a prize. Nov. 25 is the deadline for the first drawing to win a trip for two to Las Vegas for the game show taping.
Drawn each Friday night, tickets for the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB lottery game are currently available in 23 states.
