"Consumers are increasingly moving online for not only bike research, but also purchases," says Milissa Rick, senior director of marketing for Mongoose. "By expanding the Mongoose line to Amazon, we're meeting the consumer where they're already looking. We're unlocking a world of possibilities at their fingertips."
Part of this move was spurred by an increase in the demand for high performance bikes across the U.S. due to the success of U.S.-based Mongoose Pro Riders such as Dirt Rider of the Year and X Games Silver Medalist Kevin Peraza and world renowned mountain bike athlete Chris Akrigg.
"Since the beginning, our efforts have always been rooted in cultivating young talent and providing access for all levels of riders," says Steve Wilcox, marketing manager for Mongoose. "Mongoose's availability on Amazon allows us to truly live up to this."
Since 1974, Mongoose has enjoyed a long history of success as a BMX and mountain bike brand. The expansion into Amazon allows the next generation of riders – for whom online shopping is routine – easy access to the perfect bike they've been looking for. In-depth specs and detailed imagery all take the guesswork out of their purchase.
Some of the bikes now offered on Amazon include the Teocali Pro Wheel, Switchback Expert Mountain Bike and the Legion L60.
