Lead Threat Engineer Ryan Smith Will Head New Research Team to Analyze Advanced Mobile Security Threats
SAN MATEO, Calif., Feb. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Mojave Networks, the leading provider of cloud-based mobile security for enterprises, today announced the creation of the Mojave Threat Labs, which will serve as the company's central hub for conducting in-depth research on the latest mobile security threats and vulnerabilities.
Mojave's Lead Threat Engineer, Ryan W. Smith, will spearhead the team to uncover the latest mobile security threats plaguing enterprises today. The team will also track emerging threats and new mobile application developments, and provide Mojave's customers with their unparalleled expertise.
Smith joined Mojave Networks in 2013 from Lookout Mobile Security and has more than a decade of hands-on experience as a mobile threat analyst, enterprise software security consultant and government security systems R&D engineer. In addition, Smith is an active member of the security community. Most recently, Smith presented innovative research on Russian mobile malware threats at DEFCON 2013.
