MOHR Ships 1000th CT100 TDR Cable Tester

RICHLAND, Wash., March 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MOHR Test and Measurement LLC (MOHR), a supplier of time-domain reflectometry (TDR) cable test equipment, announced that it recently shipped its 1000th CT100 Series TDR cable tester to a U.S. military customer.  The CT100, CT100S, and CT100HF TDR cable testers are used across a wide range of industries including aerospace, defense, telecom, automotive, and electric power, for precision testing of twisted pair, coaxial, and multiconductor cables and connectors.  Like high-end benchtop TDRs, the MOHR instruments utilize a fast rise-time step test signal, and are prized for their ability to detect and localize subtle cable and connector faults and accurately measure cable impedance.  The instruments' precision length measurements are also useful for phase-matching microwave cables.

CT100 Series TDRs feature step-rise test signal, 0.003 in. (75 micron) cursor resolution, system rise-times as low as 60 ps (20-80%, CT100HF), and horizontal range of up to 44,000 ft. (13.4 km). The instruments can capture transient faults and feature unique software tools simplifying cable troubleshooting and maintenance. CT100 Series TDRs weigh approximately 5 lbs. (2.3 kg) and feature bright color screens, USB and 10/100 Ethernet connectivity, and support for USB peripherals including keyboards, flash drives, and barcode readers.

CT100 Series TDRs come bundled with CT Viewer, full-featured TDR waveform analysis software designed for Microsoft(R) Windows(R). CT Viewer lets the operator analyze and compare stored TDR waveforms, capture real-time video from CT100 Series TDRs at up to 500 waveforms per second, and remotely control CT100 Series TDRs over a LAN/WAN or the Internet. The software uses Microsoft(R) SQL Server(R) for reliable data storage.
