NEW YORK, Nov. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Moeda – the first cooperative banking platform powered by blockchain technology – is proud to announce its two newest initiatives: The Moeda Seed Pilot Program and Moeda Ambassadors for Change.
On Thursday, November 9th, at The Graduate Institute of Geneva, in Switzerland, Founder and CEO Taynaah Reis will announce the 17 entrepreneurs who have been selected to be a part of Moeda's Seed Pilot Program. The chosen projects will be sponsored via Moeda's microlending program and Unicafes, a national organizing body of cooperatives in Brazil. Though each project will vary in scope, size, and focus, each will tackle one component of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals.
Moeda and its partners believe that through its multi-tiered community support system and signature cryptocurrency, that Moeda will demonstrate the exponential, sustainable impact that blockchain technology can provide global communities. This revolutionary vision has inspired the creation of several corporate partnerships -- including IBM -- and a $20 million fundraising campaign as of November 2017.
A signature component of this success is Moeda's vast global network. This network will be harnessed and nurtured through its inaugural Moeda Ambassadors for Change program. The Ambassadors for Change will include a diverse, hand-selected body of professionals of all experience levels and backgrounds -- from private investors to C-suite professionals to government officials to CSR-focused academics. This program will connect professionals and offer them the opportunity to collaborate with the Seed Pilot Program entrepreneurs as they develop their ground-breaking projects.
