Model-Based Design Expert Invests in Solving Engineering Complexities
COLUMBUS, Ind., Sept. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- LHP Software, a leading provider of controls systems, development products, and engineering services has announced the changing of its name to LHP Engineering Solutions. The name underscores the company's focus on driving customers forward by meeting embedded control challenges head-on with an engineering toolkit of resources and technology.
"Throughout the years, LHP has expanded both in size and service offerings," said Dave Glass, CEO of LHP Engineering Solutions. "The name 'LHP Software' no longer accurately reflects who we are as a company or the direction that we want to move in. This isn't just a name change. We're putting a stake in the ground and establishing ourselves as a leading solutions provider within the engineering field."
A History of Success
For the past fourteen years, LHP Engineering Solutions has led the industry in model-based design applications, creating embedded electronic control solutions for the country's emerging and most influential automotive leaders. Founded in Columbus in 2001 by Dave Glass and Ryan Hou, LHP has grown to include locations in Michigan, Illinois, Colorado, California, and China and has translated their automotive expertise across other industries such as medical device, power generation, oil and gas, and the broader transportation industry.
LHP's traditional service offerings were rooted in people – they provided both recruiting and project based services. As LHP has expanded, their portfolio of offerings has grown to include controls-based training through their LHPU division and engineering products through their Platform division. Both of these new offerings are rooted in industry partnership – LHPU partners with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) as a means of certifying their training and LHPP (Platform) leverages the technology framework of National Instruments (NI).
Rebranding for Solutions
LHP Engineering Solutions has rebranded themselves as a key solutions provider – a comprehensive, strategic partner that provides products, people, projects, and training. By working within the goals, culture, and bounds of customers' businesses, LHP develops systems and products that bring expert engineering processes to clients so that they can lead the charge for new developments and manage growing complexities. With the movement towards autonomous controls within the automotive industry, systems complexity will be an ever growing problem.
"We've had success in each of our core focus areas but we felt that with all of our offerings, we were capable of doing even more," said Dave. "Instead of simply offering training or trying to sell a product, we wanted to use more of a comprehensive approach when talking with customers about the problems they're dealing with on a day to day basis. We're shifting from providing our customers with very specific support to providing them with long term comprehensive solutions."
