SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mobiles Republic®, the leading syndicator of trusted news on mobile devices, today announced it has launched its popular app for technology news consumers, Appy Geek™ in China. Appy Geek is the leading aggregated source of tech news from trusted news outlets for people on the go. The free app is now available online for download in the Chinese iTunes App Store® for iPad® and iPhone®, and on the Mobiles Republic Appy Geek site (http://www.mobilesrepublic.com/appygeek-cn/). In early September, it will also be available for Android smartphone and tablets. The company today also announced its new Mobiles Republic office in Beijing, and new strategic partnerships with leading Chinese-language content providers Sina, Engadget China, ifeng, Silidot, and Xianguo.
"We recognize this launch as an entry for Mobiles Republic into what has the potential to be the future biggest mobile market in the world," said Gilles Raymond, Chief Executive Officer, Mobiles Republic. "The news syndication and monetization opportunities are as vast. We built an amazing dedicated team to operate in China, and our Chinese partners have been helpful and cooperative. We thank them for their advice and encouragement. Bringing Chinese editorial to our users both in China and internationally enriches our mobile apps for our content partners, our advertisers and for our dedicated user base. We also look forward the tremendous potential to grow our user-base to serve mobile news consumers in The People's Republic of China."
Appy Geek users can select the Chinese language version or Chinese users can change to an English edition by simply selecting the English edition within the app. In addition to today's launch of Appy Geek, Mobiles Republic also plans to launch its other apps including News Republic®, Sports Republic™, Appy Gamer™, and GlamLife™ in China in the coming months.
Mobiles Republic news syndication apps for mobile devices are available in a number of regions around the globe in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
