MobileIron Continues Track Record of Innovation Leadership with Five New Patents

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Nov. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- MobileIron (NASDAQ:MOBL), the leader in enterprise mobility management, today announced the issuance of five new patents by The United States Patent Office. These new patents were all granted over an eight day period between October 14 and October 21, 2014.

Data-in-motion security: Patent 8,869,307 for "Mobile Posture-Based Policy, Remediation and Access Control for Enterprise Resources" relates to making appropriate access control decisions based on the security state of mobile devices.

Content security: Patents 8,863,297, 8,863,298, and 8,863,299 for "Secure Virtual File Management System" relate to securing the personal cloud and moving security and policy to the file-level.

Enterprise app store: Patent 8,862,105 is the third patent awarded to MobileIron for "Management of Mobile Applications," which allows the distribution and publication of applications to mobile device users in an enterprise network through an enterprise app store.
