MobileIron Announces Migration Offer for Businesses Looking to Switch from Good Technology's iPhone Products
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- MobileIron, the innovator in multi-OS smartphone management, today announced a new offer to accelerate adoption of iPhones in the enterprise. To help IT departments minimize stranded investments and provide users the native Apple experience they crave, MobileIron's offer will allow existing Good Technology(TM) customers with iPhone licenses to transition to a MobileIron subscription at no license cost for the first six months of the deployment.
Adoption of iPhone and iPad in the enterprise is accelerating and the most accessible email app for end-users on these devices is the one pre-installed by Apple. With iPhone 4, Apple has also added email encryption and a broad set of new capabilities to cement its position as best-in-class messaging for the platform. Many end-users are demanding the Apple solution and are frustrated by 3rd party walled-garden email apps that overlap in functionality and are less optimized for the platform.
"Though IT might make the initial mobile email decision, it's the end-user who makes the final decision," said Bob Tinker, CEO of MobileIron. "And what we hear again and again from IT is that users prefer the native iPhone email experience developed by Apple. But IT still needs a security and management platform. As a result, we are offering businesses the ability to easily migrate from the Good Technology(TM) email app to Apple's native email app, using MobileIron to secure and manage the entire device. Users get the experience they want and IT still gets the security it needs."
The migration offer will run through the summer until September 30, 2010. Existing customers of the Good Technology(TM) iPhone product can qualify to use MobileIron on up to 250 devices for six months free as part of an annual subscription. The offer applies to iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and is available only in the United States. Please contact [email protected] for more details.
