Mobile Website Launched for The Clean Air Campaign
ELK GROVE, Calif., Aug. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Clean Air Campaign has launched a new mobile website, m.cleanaircampaign.org. Like the full site, www.cleanaircampaign.org, the mobile version gives Georgia commuters tools to recognize and reduce the impact they have on the environment. But the mobile version helps them do it on the go.
Laid out similar to a smart phone app, the mobile website greets users with a set of nine buttons in the center of the screen, each with an icon and label. Social media icons and search capability provide increased interactivity. Users can easily calculate the real cost of their commute, sign up to receive rewards for reducing their commuting, see if their school is participating in The Clean Air Campaign, view a real-time smog meter, and sign up for smog alerts.
Users of mobile devices automatically are directed to the mobile site even if they point their browser to the full site. (They are given the power to switch back and forth between the two sites as they please.)
Management of both sites is handled easily through the eZ Publish content management system's administrative interface. There editors can create content unique to either the mobile or full sites, or make pages which appear on both.
Founded in 1996, The Clean Air Campaign is a non-profit transportation demand management organization working for the Georgia Department of Transportation. Each day its efforts reduce air pollution by 700 tons.
The Clean Air Campaign has long used Granite Horizon as the web development and content management consultant for its website.
