New Council Delivers Regional Focus With Local Appeal To Grow Mobile Marketing In Canada
LAS VEGAS, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- CTIA Wireless 2010 -- During CTIA Wireless 2010 held this week in Las Vegas, the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) (www.mmaglobal.com) today announced the formal launch of its MMA Canada Council. The launch reflects the latest in the MMA's efforts to establish regional presence with local focus across the globe. MMA Canada is led by Michael O'Farrell, Country Manager for the MMA, along with Canadian council co-chairs Ross Buchanan, Director, Digital & Relationship Marketing at MolsonCoors and Andrew Osmak, SVP, Business Development & New Ventures at LavaLife.

MMA Canada joins already established councils in Austria, Germany, India, Philippines, South Africa, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom. The MMA Canada Council is a factor in the acceleration of the adoption of mobile marketing for its members as part of the North America region.
Today's news comes on the heels of MMA's organizational restructure to focus its efforts on a localized, regional basis operating on a global scale. O'Farrell joins the MMA as Country Manager, Canada. He provides a wealth of expertise including leading a full spectrum of mobile industry initiatives globally over the last 15 years, and is co-author of Mobile Internet For Dummies.
