Wireless Innovators Recognized Along With Release of 2013 Mobile Year in Review Video
WASHINGTON, Dec. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Last night, Mobile Future announced the winners of its mobile innovation competition, The Mobileys.
The Mobileys helps to shine a spotlight on early-stage wireless innovations designed to make the world a better place. Applications for The Mobileys came from innovators across the nation, all who are using mobile in ways that could change the world: An app that amplifies the performance and effectiveness of first responders. An interface that makes driving safer and drivers less distracted. An early learning mobile app for young children developed by top literacy experts. These are The Mobileys winners:

- 3rd Place: Learn with Homer; Brooklyn, NY
- Popular Vote, the "People's Choice Award": INRFOOD, Raleigh, NC
While in Washington this week to accept their awards, and checks from a $20,000 prize pool, the winners also met with officials at the White House and at the FCC to discuss their innovations.
Along with celebrating these inspirational products, Mobile Future released the 2013 Mobile Year in Review video capturing the groundbreaking milestones from a year of wireless transformation that once again exceeded all expectations.

- Global mobile data traffic almost doubled

- 21 U.S. companies now offer 4G/LTE service
