Mobile Beacon Expands Disaster Relief Donation Programs To Oklahoma and Texas
Schools and Nonprofits in Oklahoma and Texas Can Receive Up to 26 Donated 4G Modems
NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I., June 12, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Mobile Beacon (www.mobilebeacon.org), a provider of low-cost, 4G mobile broadband service to schools and nonprofits, has expanded its disaster relief donation programs on TechSoup.org and DigitalWish.org.
Oklahoma and Texas now join the list of eligible states where schools, libraries and other nonprofits can receive up to 26 donated 4G devices. Nonprofit organizations in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island (states that were impacted by Hurricane Sandy) are also eligible for the same donation.
The donation programs allow nonprofits to choose the combination of 4G devices that best meets their needs, including a Wi-Fi modem, a USB modem, and a mobile hotspot. Although 4G Internet service is not included as part of the donation, it is available for purchase at a heavily discounted rate of $10/month per device for an unlimited 4G data plan.
Interested 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and public libraries should review Mobile Beacon's donation program on TechSoup.org to confirm eligibility and apply for this program.
Public schools and 501(c)(3) nonprofit schools should visit DigitalWish.org for program details and directions on how to request donations.
