Mobile Application Ozmott Announces New Traverse City Merchants
TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., June 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mobile-shopping app Ozmott has announced their growing merchant base in Traverse City, adding a variety of retailers throughout the region and the downtown shopping district.
Ozmott is partnering with Horizon Books, Mahoney's, Peppercorn, TC Harbor Wear, Glitz and Spurs, Robert Frost Fine Footwear and Don's Drive In. These locations will begin offering Ozmott discounts on July 1, 2013. Traverse City has also welcomed High Five Threads, Phil's on Front, Maxbauer's Meat Market and TC Foods (Bubba's, Firefly, Maddy's Tavern 31 and The Kitchen) to its application. Local shops, restaurants and various services are welcomed to join the mobile application at no up-front cost with personalized customer service and assistance.
Ozmott will be participating in events throughout the summer in Traverse City, such as the National Cherry Festival and the Traverse City Film Festival. Ozmott also will encourage community growth through merchant events, downtown shopping days and charity involvement.
With its built-in loyalty system, the more friends you have, the more rewards you get. Ozmott is helping to bring customers back into retail stores by providing access to in-store discount offers through their Smartphone. Every time a customer redeems an offer, it is shared with their Ozmott using friends. For each friend an offer is shared with, the customer receives a Pip. Collected Pips can then be used to unlock top-tier "Luxe" offers that provide users an affordable way to enjoy luxury items. The more friends you have, the bigger Luxe items you can unlock.
Ozmott's coverage continues to expand across the United States, providing exclusive offers to app-users that can be redeemed on in-store purchases. Ozmott's rapid growth in 2013 includes the recent additions of the Sears and Kmart chains, Pet Supplies Plus, Guitar Center and Wireless Vision, one of the nation's largest T-Mobile providers.
Ozmott was launched on iPhone and Android devices in 2012 and has seen rapid growth since its market release. Ozmott will be available at over 4,000 locations nationwide by the end of the month.

About Ozmott:
Ozmott is a mobile platform built to connect retail merchants with consumers through a virtual, fully functional economy. The application relies on a sustainable deals model that allows consumers to take advantage of in-demand, merchant- supplied offers. Popularized by websites such as Groupon and Living Social, daily deal sites have seen increased growth over the past few years. Yet Ozmott is different. Where most sites rely on individual purchases to unlock group deals, Ozmott aims to create a community; where users interact, make friends and gain access to 'Luxe Offers'. By introducing their own brand of virtual currency, or Pips, Ozmott users are encouraged to share deals with their friends to earn additional Pips where they later can be applied toward otherwise out of reach high-end lifestyle products.
