M&M'S® Spokescandies Reunited After Four-Month Split
Americans who Rallied to Reunite 'M Rewarded with More than $1.5 Million in Prizes
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J., Sept. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The band's back together. Mars Chocolate North America announced today that after a disheartening four-month split, America's most beloved M&M'S® Brand spokescandies – Red, Blue, Orange and Ms. Green – are back together again with their pal Yellow – who couldn't be happier about the reunion.
Several months ago, Red, Blue, Orange and Ms. Green hung up their 'M's and disbanded in order to pursue new solo careers. Red tried his hand at becoming the spokescherry for the Oregon Cherry Company. Blue joined the Blue Man Group, Ms. Green made appearances at all the hottest parties and Orange, paranoid as always, was hiding out somewhere. Luckily Yellow – the only spokescandy left behind – never gave up hope, working tirelessly to help "Reunite 'M".
Yellow – who never quite understood the split in the first place – pleaded with America to help him reunite the spokescandy crew. Thankfully America pulled through, and he and the M&M'S Brand showed their gratitude by rewarding a few diligent supporters with prizes valued at over $1.5 million, including $100,000 to one individual.
"We're ecstatic to have the M&M'S spokescandies back together," said Debra A. Sandler, Chief Consumer Officer, Mars Chocolate North America. "They've been an important part of our brand for many years, so we're so relieved to have them back where they belong, as well as grateful to our fans for pleading with our spokescandies to come home."
