MJT Net Announces Developers' Toolkit to Embed Software Automation Capabilities in PC Applications

SHAFTESBURY, England, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- MJT Net Ltd, the leading global provider of Windows automation and scripting solutions, has announced the release of the MacroScript Software Development Kit (SDK). MacroScript SDK lets developers seamlessly use the full power and simplicity of the Macro Scheduler script language within their own applications to build routines that automate other processes, transfer data or simulate user activity. Any software process can be automated with Macro Scheduler, even if no existing programming interface is available.

Using MacroScript SDK allows developers to program scripts that run directly within their application without having to shell to a Macro Scheduler script file or executable. "They can deliver the advantages of Macro Scheduler to their own customers without requiring that those users install Macro Scheduler," explained Marcus Tettmar, CEO of MJT Net.

MacroScript SDK is useful when a process that's mostly within the developer's application needs to be extended to "talk" to some external process. For example, one customer uses MacroScript SDK to automatically import orders and customer information from their website's shopping cart into an internally-developed Access database. "With the SDK, their application accesses the MacroScript variables directly, simplifying the integration between their in-house application and macros," noted Tettmar. "The macros become part and parcel of their application rather than a separate entity."

MacroScript SDK offers an easy-to-use ActiveX control, or DLL, and integrates with MS Visual Studio, Borland IDEs, or any other language that can load DLLs or use ActiveX components (even VBScript and VBA). The SDK runs on Windows XP, Windows 2000, Server 2003, Server 2008, Vista and Windows 7.

MacroScript SDK is available in two versions:

• Tethered: A low entry price of $295 but requires Macro Scheduler v11 on each PC running the SDK.
• Untethered: An unlimited runtime license for use within one organization is $2,495. The Untethered SDK does not require Macro Scheduler to be installed on each PC.
