ATLANTA, June 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Mizuno announced a multi-year partnership with LakePoint Sporting Community. As part of the deal, Mizuno is now the "Official Performance Sports Gear Partner of LakePoint." Located in Emerson, Georgia, LakePoint is the premier sports tournament destination in the U.S. attracting athletes from all 50 states by combining top-of-the-line athletic facilities, with exciting retail, entertainment, and hotels for the ultimate sports vacation experience.
"We are thrilled to partner with Mizuno as our performance sports gear partner," said LakePoint CEO Earl Ehrhart. "Mizuno is committed to the mission of LakePoint – to be the premier sports vacation destination and provide a place where kids can showcase their sports skills to advance their education while working to make the world of sports safer, smarter and better. We are glad to have a valued partner in Mizuno."
Athletes and fans will see Mizuno integrated into the entire complex through signage as well as retail kiosks at the baseball and softball fields offering premium Mizuno baseball, softball, running, golf and volleyball gear and apparel for purchase. With these kiosks, athletes will be able to use their gear right away, and experience Mizuno's premium quality, innovation and craftsmanship.
"LakePoint is revolutionizing the idea of tournament play for athletes and their families, and we believe the potential is endless," said Mark M. O'Brien, president and officer of Mizuno USA. "Not only does this partnership showcase our brand to the highest degree throughout the complex, it is also an opportunity to gather brand, product and event feedback from athletes from every corner of the country in every sport we touch, all in one place."
Further integrations with the complex will include a custom designed and branded scouting terrace, coined the "Mizuno Mezzanine" in the Champions Center, in addition to multiple Mizuno-sponsored tournaments soon to be announced. Mizuno is also committed to supply sporting gear to LakePoint through in-kind donations.
"With more than one-million visitors hosted annually, LakePoint is playing a major role in the continued growth of the Atlanta sports community. We are very proud to add LakePoint to our stacked roster of premium partners in our hometown," said O'Brien.
