NEW YORK, Feb. 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Mitre Media significantly increased its reach among financial advisors and individual investors through its recently announced merger of ETF Database (ETFdb.com) and ETF Trends (ETF Trends). The merger creates the largest ETF-centric, data-rich hub available to advisors, along with the company's lineup of premium digital media brands MutualFunds.com, Dividend.com, and MunicipalBonds.com.
As part of the merger, Mitre Media announced the appointment of George Minett to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He will focus on continuing the growth of audiences on MutualFunds.com, Dividend.com, and MunicipalBonds.com. Mr. Minett has nearly 15 years of experience in the investment industry and was formerly the President at Mitre Media.
Former CEO Tom Hendrickson will assume operational responsibilities at ETF Flows, parent company to the newly combined ETFdb.com and ETFTrends.com brands, while remaining Chairman of the Board at Mitre Media.
"More people than ever are turning to the web with investment-related questions and, on behalf of everyone on our amazing team, I want to express our enthusiasm and excitement about serving advisors and individual investors with our bulked-up capabilities. We have some exciting projects in the works and I look forward to continue driving innovation for our audiences," said George Minett, CEO of Mitre Media.
"I'm thrilled that the Mitre Media family is able to partner with ETF industry luminary, Tom Lydon, and his incredible team to more acutely position our assets to aid in the next $10 trillion fund flows into the ETF wrapper. The new partnership combined with increased focus on the other Mitre Media brands will result in our ability to deliver even more value to our users," said Tom Hendrickson, Chairman of the Board for Mitre Media.
Together, the Mitre Media platform reports 10 million monthly impressions and serves advisors representing $5 trillion in assets under management and millions of individual investors.
"We know that the habits of advisors have evolved over the years, with many assuming a much larger online research role as they forge deeper bonds with clients in this rapidly growing space. Partnering with Tom Hendrickson and his team at ETF Database allows us to scale our digital impact by providing advisors with in-depth data and analysis customized for their needs, and a platform to help them ride this industry momentum for many years to come," said Tom Lydon, Founder & CEO of ETF Trends.
