Book signing event part of Art Van Wonderland holiday celebration for the community
WARREN, Mich., Dec. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- New York Times best-selling author and award-winning Detroit journalist Mitch Albom will sign copies of his highly-acclaimed new novel, The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto, at Art Van Furniture in Warren (6500 E. 14 Mile Road) on Saturday, December 12 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event is part of the Midwest's No. 1 furniture and mattress retailer's Art Van Wonderland holiday extravaganza. The first 200 guests will receive a complimentary, personally signed copy of Albom's New York Times bestseller. The book will also be available for purchase at the event.
The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto follows a fictional musical icon ("the greatest guitarist to ever walk the earth") as he immigrates to America as a child with only an old guitar with six magical blue strings given to him by his teacher. His gift becomes his burden as he realizes that he can actually affect people's futures. A musician himself, Albom co-wrote songs with musical artists Ingrid Michaelson and Mat Kearney featured on The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto: A Musical Companion, a soundtrack to the book.
